Creating a New Opportunity

There are several ways to create an opportunity:

Method 1: From the Pipeline View

  • Navigate to Opportunities in the sidebar
  • Click the + Add Opportunity button
  • Fill in the required fields:
  • Contact name or select existing contact
  • Pipeline and stage
  • Opportunity name
  • Value (optional)
  • Click Save

Method 2: From a Contact Record

  • Open the contact's profile
  • Click the Opportunities tab
  • Click + Add Opportunity
  • The contact will be pre-filled

Moving Opportunities Between Stages

Drag and Drop

Simply click and drag an opportunity card from one stage column to another.

From the Opportunity Details

  • Click on the opportunity to open it
  • Click the Stage dropdown
  • Select the new stage

Editing Opportunity Details

  • Click on the opportunity card
  • The details panel will open on the right
  • Edit any field by clicking on it
  • Changes save automatically

Common Fields to Update

  • Status: Open, Won, Lost, Abandoned
  • Value: Update as you learn more about the deal
  • Owner: Reassign to a different team member
  • Tags: Add tags for better organization
  • Custom Fields: Any additional fields your team uses

Closing an Opportunity

Marking as Won

  • Move to your "Won" stage, or
  • Change the status to "Won"
  • Add any final notes about the deal

Marking as Lost

  • Change status to "Lost"
  • Select a Lost Reason (helps track why deals don't close)
  • Add notes for future reference
