Understanding Manual Actions
Manual actions are tasks assigned to you that require your personal attention. They're the human touchpoints in your workflow.
What Are Manual Actions?
Manual actions are tasks that need a real person to complete, such as:
- Make a call: Call a specific contact
- Send a personalized message: Write a custom text or email
- Review and approve: Check something before it proceeds
- Follow-up: Reach out to someone who needs attention
Where to Find Manual Actions
- Click Manual Actions in the left sidebar
- Or look for a notification badge showing pending actions
- You'll see a queue of tasks waiting for you
The Manual Actions Queue
Your queue shows:
- Contact name: Who the action is for
- Action type: What you need to do (call, text, etc.)
- Due date: When it should be completed
- Priority: How urgent it is
Working Through Actions
- Start at the top of your queue
- Click on an action to see details
- Complete the task (make the call, send the message)
- Mark as Complete or Skip
- Move to the next action
Action Statuses
- Pending: Waiting to be done
- In Progress: You're working on it
- Completed: Done!
- Skipped: You chose to skip this one
- Overdue: Past the due date
Why Manual Actions Matter
They ensure that:
- Important touchpoints don't get missed
- Human judgment is applied when needed
- Personalization happens at the right moments
- Follow-ups occur on schedule
